A spectator selects a card which is left on the table unknown to everybody. The magician says the cards know which one is missing from the deck, and they will tell everyone. The only thing the magician must do is snap his fingers to make them "speak". He proceed to snap his fingers and spread the cards to show a card magically appearing face down in the middle. This process is repeated three times and the ace, two and three of the same suit appear. However, the four does not reveal itself when called, so the magician flips the deck over and snaps his fingers many times, spreading the deck to show all cards from 5 to King magically face up. Finally, the card which was selected in the beginning is shown to be the missing four.

The magician deals the four aces face down onto the table and three indifferent cards are dealt onto each ace. The Ace of Spades packet is picked up and the cards are spread showing the Ace and three other cards before all four are slipped into the card case which was previously examined. A card is signed by both a spectator and the magician, and is held to the magician's tie with two clips. The magician discovers he has made a mistake, his signature is upside down. This mistake is magically corrected by removing the central part of the card (creating a very visual zig-zag effect) and putting it again in its place after rotating it 180 degrees. In this way the card is restored with the three signatures in the same direction. The card can be given for examination! It is a very original effect, suitable for stand up conditions.
